How we work

One team. Two connected disciplines.

The media earns attention. A strong website turns that attention into understanding, trust, and a clear next step.

  1. 01

    Listen first

We start with the offer, the customer, and the real business constraint.

  2. 02

    Make with purpose

Every asset needs a job, whether it is attention, clarity, or conversion.

  3. 03

    Keep it practical

Clear scope, plain language, useful handoff, and no inflated promises.

Our story

The Story of MapleKey

Real Estate × Marketing × Computer Science

Three backgrounds. One team.

MapleKey’s story started long before the company did. Brayden and Nathan met in Grade 8 and have been friends ever since. Through high school and into university, they both spent years editing videos, experimenting with content, and learning what makes something worth watching. At the time, they weren’t trying to build an agency. Creating and editing was simply something they enjoyed doing.

By the time Brayden and Nathan were at the University of Guelph, their different skill sets had started to come together. Brayden, now a fourth-year real estate student, had developed a strong interest in business development, sales, strategy, and marketing. Nathan, a fourth-year marketing student, had continued building on the filming, editing, and creative skills they had both been developing for years. They realized there was an opportunity to combine those strengths, and in early 2026, MapleKey Media was created.

MapleKey was originally built with real estate in mind, but it didn’t take long to realize that the problem went far beyond realtors. Local businesses, developers, service companies, community organizations, and growing brands were facing the same challenge. Many were great at what they did, but struggled to consistently show that online. That realization expanded MapleKey’s vision from helping realtors create better content to helping businesses across different industries build stronger brands and reach more people.

As MapleKey continued to grow, another gap became obvious. Great social media could get someone’s attention, but if that person clicked through to an outdated or ineffective website, that attention could quickly be lost. Many of the businesses that needed better content also needed a stronger digital home.

That’s where Jin came in. Brayden and Nathan met Jin at the University of Guelph, where he is now a fourth-year computer science student. His background in technology and web development brought a completely different skill set to the team. With Brayden bringing real estate and business understanding, Nathan bringing marketing and content, and Jin bringing computer science and web development, the next step felt natural.

That became MapleKey Web. Instead of only helping businesses earn attention through content, MapleKey could now help build the place that attention leads to. Today, the three of them are combining strategy, content, and technology to help businesses strengthen their entire online presence.

What started with two friends who had been editing videos for years has grown into something much bigger, and MapleKey is still only at the beginning of its story.
